Custom 1970's Retro-Engineered Stereo Console

This is such a unique console. We purchased this piece, along with a number of teak pieces from a Kansas City Estate Sale.  However, this piece is not actually teak, but walnut construction colored to match the teak furniture that was in the home, and was actually custom-built.  The components used were silver-faced Realistic components from Radio Shack in the 1970's.  There was once a reel to reel in the left open aperture (there were reel to reel tapes in the storage underneath).  The record player was in a drawer in the bottom middle.  

Our plan is to place a vertical turntable in the left open aperture and turn the original turntable space in the middle drawer to storage.  The speakers are AR2's refinished to match the rest of the cabinet.  These will either be restored or retrofitted.  There are also two record-storage stands that are part of the package.  

Dimensions:  Main console: 62" wide, 34" tall, 20.5" deep.  Record Storage cabinets: 24" wide, 20.5" tall, 20.5" deep.  AR2 Speakers 24" wide, 14" tall, 11.5" deep.  As show in first photo, 110" wide, 34" tall, 20.5" deep.  

Retro-Engineering Process Includes:

• Installation of modern 3-way speakers, turntable, and wi-fi enabled, house calibrated solid-state amplifier, with controls routed through the original control panel for an authentic tactile experience.

  • Optical Input capable of connecting your tv, Xbox Series X, Playstation 5, Blu-Ray Player, modern cd player, and more.

Retrofitting process will be done upon purchase and will take 6-8 weeks to complete.  Shipping takes 2-4 weeks from completion of cabinet.
